Originaire du Berry, frère Charles s’installe au couvent de La Tourette après avoir été ordonné prêtre il y a deux ans et fraichement diplômé de l’École de Chaillot (2018-2020, promotion Notre-Dame).
Il crée son atelier d’architecture et suit en parallèle les cours de la licence canonique à l'institut supérieur de liturgie (ISL) de l’université Catholique de Paris.
Ses deux sujets d’études lui permettent de mettre en relation architecture et liturgie autour des interrogations que posent l’espace sacré, le partage d'un patrimoine commun, le rapport à l’environnement et au paysage, etc. Aumônier régional des Équipes du Rosaire, il participe aussi à l'animation des rencontres Foi & Culture du festival d’Avignon et entretient le lien qui unit les Dominicains à la chapelle Matisse de Vence.
Il est également l’auteur de plusieurs ouvrages sur le bienheureux Pier Giorgio Frassati, alpiniste de haut-niveau, opposant au fascisme et membre du tiers ordre dominicain.
Originally from Berry, Friar Charles Desjobert settled in the convent of La Tourette after being ordained a priest two years ago and freshly graduated from the Ecole de Chaillot (2018-2020, Notre-Dame promotion).
He created his own architecture studio and at the same time take the courses of the canonical licence at the Institut Supérieur de Liturgie (ISL) of the Université Catholique de Paris.
His two subjects of study allow him to relate architecture and liturgy around the questions raised by sacred space, the sharing of a common heritage, the relationship with the environment and the landscape, etc. Regional chaplain of the Teams of the Rosary, he also participates in the animation of the Faith & Culture meetings of the Avignon Festival and maintains the link between the Dominicans and the Matisse Chapel in Vence.
He is also the author of several works on Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, a high-level mountaineer, opponent of fascism and member of the Dominican Third Order.
